Whenever I hear the word “Nero” I immediately think of the properly good tool that can be used to burn data onto discs. You see, Nero Burning ROM, which is commonly referred to as Nero, makes it quite easy to burn data onto CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray discs. From the application’s user friendly interface you can burn any data you want onto any type of disc you want.

The system requirements for running Nero Burning ROM are: 2GHZ processor, 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended), 500MB of free disk space, CD/DVD/Blu-ray Disc recordable or rewritable drive for burning, Windows operating system (32 or 64-bit edition, anything from XP SP3 up to 8.1).

A “New Compilation” prompt shows up when you launch Nero Burning ROM. From this prompt you can choose if you want to burn data onto a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc. From this prompt you can choose if you want to start a new session or continue a multisession disc. From this prompt you can choose if you want to burn an audio CD, video DVD, or Blu-Ray ISO. From this prompt you can access lots of handy parameters for the data burning job you want to run.

Nero Burning ROM integrates with Windows Explorer. This means that if you right click a file, an option to burn the file to a disc will be presented in the right click context menu.

Data burning is Nero Burning ROM’s main functionality. It must be mentioned that the application has some extra functionality to offer: rip audio CDS, convert audio files, create disc covers and labels.

Nero Burning ROM is not free, it is only free to try. You can use the application for free, for evaluation purposes, for a period of 15 days.

Rip audio CDs, copy DVDs, burn Blu-ray discs, create disc covers – these features and more are nicely put at your fingertips by Nero Burning ROM.
